By downloading, installing, or using NextCue: Bill & Life Reminder ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Description of Service
NextCue is a free Android application that helps you remember bills, document renewals, subscriptions, rent,
warranties, birthdays, and other recurring or one-time events. All features are provided free of charge, with
no advertisements and no in-app purchases.
2. Reminders Are a Convenience, Not a Guarantee
The App is a personal reminder tool. It is your responsibility to actually pay bills, renew documents, and
meet deadlines. Alarm delivery on Android depends on your device's settings, power state, and the
manufacturer's battery-management behaviour, none of which the App fully controls. Do not rely on the App as
your only safeguard for a legally or financially critical deadline.
3. Your Responsibilities
You're responsible for the accuracy of the dates, amounts, and details you enter. You're also responsible for
keeping your device secure, since data stored on your device — and any optional Google Drive backup — can be
accessed by anyone with access to your device or Google account.
4. Optional Google Drive Backup
If you choose to enable Google Drive backup, your reminders and history are stored in your own Google Drive
account, in a folder named "NextCue Backups," created and managed by the App. You can disable this feature,
sign out, and delete your backup data from within the App at any time. See the
Privacy Policy for full details.
5. No Warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied —
including reliability of alarm delivery under all device conditions, particularly on Android devices where
the manufacturer's battery-optimization behaviour can interfere with background apps.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or
consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including a missed bill
payment, an expired document, a late fee, or a lapsed subscription.
7. Changes to the App and These Terms
Features may be added, changed, or removed in future updates. These Terms may be updated from time to time;
continued use of the App after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
8. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling removes locally stored data from your
device; any Google Drive backup you created remains in your own Google Drive until you delete it yourself.

NextCue is designed for people who want reliable, private reminders for the everyday things they currently track with sticky notes, memory, or nothing at all. All data lives on your device by default — no accounts required, no data collection, no ads.
It is a deliberate companion to Medicine & Health Reminder, built on the same production-hardened alarm engine, generalized beyond medicine to every other kind of recurring life event. NextCue isn't a to-do app or a project manager — there are no subtasks, projects, or collaboration features, and that's intentional. It does one thing: make sure you never forget a bill, a renewal, or a date that matters.

🔐 Data Privacy
User privacy is a core principle of this application.
- Data stored locally on the user's own device by default
- No account required to use the app
- No personal data stored on developer-owned servers
- Google Drive backup is completely optional and off until you sign in
- User data is never sold or shared with third parties
- No advertisements — no advertising SDKs used
- No analytics or tracking libraries of any kind
- No camera, location, contacts, or SMS permissions requested
☁️ Google Drive Backup
The application optionally supports Google Drive backup and restore using the Google Drive scope:
This lets you back up your reminders and history to your own Google Drive, so they survive a phone change, loss, or theft — and restore them on a new device in seconds.
The backup is written to a visible folder named "NextCue Backups" in your own Drive, so you
can find, download, or delete the file yourself at any time. The app cannot access any other
files, photos, videos, or documents in your Google Drive — the drive.file scope restricts it to
only the file it created itself.
Backup options inside the app:
- Back up now — a manual, one-time upload
- Automatic weekly backup — optional silent background backup
- Backup reminder — optional weekly or monthly nudge if you prefer backing up manually; uploads nothing on its own
- Restore — replaces device data with your saved backup
- Delete backup from Drive — permanently removes the backup file
🛡️ Permissions Used
NextCue does not request camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, call log, location, or photo/storage permissions.
